Q) If a + b = 12 and ab = 27, find the value of a^{3} +b^{3}

Answer :-

Given :-

a + b = 12

ab = 27

To find :-

Value of a^{3} +b^{3}

Solution

Using the identity ,

a^{3} +b^{3} = (a + b )^3 - 3ab ( a + b )

We will substitute the given values :--

a^{3} +b^{3} = ( 12 )^3 - 3 x 27 ( 12 )

= 1728 - 972

= 756.

Therefore the value of a^2 + b^2 is 756
