Given:

• Two rational numbers \displaystyle\frac {-2}{5},\displaystyle\frac {1}{5}

Find:

• 24 rational numbers between these two numbers

Solution:

The two rational numbers which we have are \displaystyle\frac {-2}{5},\displaystyle\frac {1}{5}

\\

As we know, we have to find out 29 new rational numbers between them so we take it as (29+1=30) ; and multiply 30 to both the numbers.

\\

{Multiplying 30 to the rational numbers}

\displaystyle\frac {-2×30}{5×30}

\displaystyle\frac {-60}{150}

\displaystyle\frac {1×30}{5×30}

\displaystyle\frac {30}{150}

On Multiplying the new numbers we have are \displaystyle\frac {-60}{150} and \displaystyle\frac {30}{150}

Now, Find 29 numbers between them; that are -

\displaystyle\frac {-60}{150} ,\displaystyle\frac {-61}{150} ,\displaystyle\frac {-62}{150} , \displaystyle\frac {-63}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-64}{150} ,\displaystyle\frac {-65}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-66}{150}\\ , \displaystyle\frac {-67}{150} ,\displaystyle\frac {-68}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-69}{150} , \displaystyle\frac {-70}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-71}{150}, \displaystyle\frac {-72}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-73}{150}\\,\displaystyle\frac {-74}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-75}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-76}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-77}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-78}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-79}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-80}{150}\\,\displaystyle\frac {-81}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-82}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-83}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-84}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-85}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-86}{150},\displaystyle\frac {-87}{150}\\,\displaystyle\frac {-88}{150},\displaystyle\frac {30}{150}
