Answer:

cost / m² = rs 92

total cost = rs 9108

area = total cost / cost per m² = 9108/92= 99m²

area of floor = length × breadth = 9m × breadth

9×b=99

b=11m

breadth = 11m

Given :

The cost of flooring a room at 92/m² = 9108

Length of the room = 9 m

To Find :

The breadth of the room

Solution :

We know,

Area of a rectangular room = length of the room × Breadth of the room     The cost of flooring 1 m² area is Rs. 92

Cost of flooring the whole room = Rs. (92 × length × breadth)

As per question,

               92 × Length × Breadth = 9180

or,            92 × 9 × Breadth          = 9180

or,                           Breadth          = \frac{9180}{828}

∴                            Breadth          = 11.087 m

∴ The Breadth of the room is 11.087 m.
