Answer:

Resistance in parallel = Rp

1 / Rp = 1/10 + 1/20 + 1/60 (take LCM = 60)

1 / Rp  = 6/60 + 3/60 + 1/60

1 / Rp = 10 / 60

1 / Rp = 1 / 6

Rp = 6

total voltage = V = 30V

V = IR

I = V / R = 30 / 6

I = 5A

∴ current through the circuit is 5A

Current through each resistor

Since the resistors are connected in parallel the voltage remains the same throughout the circuit

through 10Ω

I = V / R = 30 / 10

I = 3A

through 20Ω

I = V / R = 30 / 20

I = 3/2A = 1.5A

through 60Ω

I = V / R = 30 / 60

I = 1/2A = 0.5A
