a)A rise in heating rate increase the limestone decomposition temperature because of the hysteresis effects of heat transfer, and the effect become more severe with the heating rate increasing. The small limestone particle is easier to decompose completely by the fine heat transfer property in interior of the particle.

b)When calcium hydroxide(lime water) solution reacts with carbon dioxide gas,the Limewater turns milky due to the formation of a white precipitate of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) which is insoluble in water
