let L.H.S= 2a+b=1 and R.H.S =7b-a=1

R.H.S= 7b-a=1

=> a=7b-1

on putting the value of a in L.H.S ,we get:

2×(7b-1) + b=1

14b-2+b=1

15b=1+2

b=3/15=1/5

then ,

a = 7×1/5-1

a=7/5 -1

a=(7-5)/5 =2/5

hence a= 2/5 and b=1/5
