Recall that ‘!’ represents factorial.

n!=n∗(n−1)∗(n−2)...

In other words, n! results from multiplying all the numbers from 1 to n.

For example, 6! would be 1∗2∗3…∗6=720 …

Instead of multiplying all this out, notice that the numerator is just 1 to 9 multiplied all together, which is 9! . Also in the numerator is 1000.

Similarly, the denominator is 2 to 10, multiplied out. Notice that multiplying by 1 makes no difference, so 2 to 10 is actually 10! .

Now we have fraction (9!∗1000)/10!.

Simplifying, all of 9! and 10! with the exception of 10 cancels out, because 10! is simply 9! times 10:

9∗8∗7∗6∗5∗4∗3∗2∗100010∗9∗8∗7∗6∗5∗4∗3∗2=100010.

So: 1000 / 10 = 100
