x^3= 64 .. x= 4cm .. length of cuboid =8cm,, breadth =4cm and height = 4cm .. surface area = 2(32+16+32) cm^2 = 160 cm ^2

Answer: 160cm².

Step by step explanation:

Given,

Volume of both cubes = 64cm³

Volume of one cube =a³

⇒ 64 = a³

⇒ (4) = a³

⇒ a=4

To find: We have to find the Surface area of resulting cuboids.

We know that, when two cubes are joined they form cuboid:

Length of cuboid=4+4= 8cm

Breadth of cuboid= 4cm

Height of cuboid= 4cm

Surface area of cuboid = 2(lb+bh+lh)

2(8×4+4×4+4×8)

= 2(32+16+32)

= 2(80)

= 160cm²

Therefore, Surface area of Cuboid is 160 cm².
