-2k-(-5)+1

= -2k+5+1
= -2k +6

HI FRIEND

given equation
= -2k-(-5)+1

= -2k+ (5+1)
= -2k +6
-2k = -6
[ (-) minus will be get cancelled, since it was on both sides. ]

2k = 6
k= 6/2

=> k = 3
