Solution for 2m+5/3=3m-10 equation:

m in (-oo:+oo)

2*m+5/3 = 3*m-10 // - 3*m-10

2*m-(3*m)+5/3+10 = 0

2*m-3*m+5/3+10 = 0

35/3-m = 0 // - 35/3

-m = -35/3 // * -1

m = 35/3

m = 35/3

The value of m = 5

GIVEN:- 2m+5 ÷ 3 = 3m- 10

TO FIND:- the value of m

SOLUTION:-

  • The sum In RHS is 2m + 5 which is divided by 3 and in LHS 3m -10
  • We are aware that RHS = LHS

According to the question,

 \frac{2m + 5}{3}  = 3m - 10 \\

By cross multiplication

2m + 5 = 3(3m - 10) \\ 2m + 5 = 9m - 30 \\

When we shift the numbers or variables from one side to another then the sign changes

5 + 30 = 9m - 2m \\ 9m - 2m = 5 + 30 \\ 7m = 35 \\ m =  \frac{35}{7}  \\ m = 5

Hence, the value of m = 5
