2m+5/3=3m-10 solve the following equations. Check your result in each case.

nickkaushiknick: you should write (2m + 5)/3 instead of 2m + 5/3, that creates confusion :)
bazelasaleem: ok
sambodhi31: (2m+5) /3 I had written
nickkaushiknick: Ah! its showing 2m+5/3, anyways .. hope the solution helped :)

2m+5/3=3m-10

2m+5=3(3m-10)

2m+5=9m-30

2m-9m=-30-5

-7m=--35

m=35/7

m=5

sambodhi31: The answer is m=5 We want to check the answer the answer also
bazelasaleem: sorry for mistake i didnt read the question properly
nickkaushiknick: you by mistake written -5 instead of -10 in RHS
bazelasaleem: sorry for this silly mistake
sambodhi31: It so k

Answer:

m = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

(2m + 5)/3 = 3m - 10

multiplying both sides with 3 ( to eliminate 3 from denominator)

2m + 5 = 9m - 30

2m - 9m = - 30 - 5

- 7m = - 35

m = - 35 / -7

m = 5

Verification

Putting value of m = 5 both sides

LHS                                            RHS

= (2m + 5)/3                              = 3m - 10

= (2×5 + 5)/3                             = 3×5 - 10

= (10 + 5)/3                                = 15 - 10

= 15/3                                         = 5

= 5

LHS = RHS (Verified)
