Answer:

E = Ek + Er

(Er is the rest mass energy)

So,

mc² = Ek + m₀c²

Therefore kinetic energy of a particle is:

Ek = mc² - m₀c²

now applying the condition:

Ek = Er, and also relativistic mass m=m₀/√(1 - v²/c²)

m₀c²/√(1 - v²/c²) - m₀c² = m₀c²

m₀c²/√(1 - v²/c²) = 2m₀c²

1/√(1 - v²/c²) = 2

√(1 - v²/c²) = 1/2

1 - v²/c² = 1/4

v²/c² = 3/4

v = c√0.75

v = 259807.621 km/s

Option (b) Sodium carbonate is incorrect will be the correct answer.

  • This reaction is a decomposition reaction in which the reactant is getting broken into products by the action of heat.
  • The formula of all the compounds is correct except for the sodium carbonate which is Na_{2}CO_{3}.
  • By the decomposition of sodium carbonate, we get sodium carbonate, water and carbon dioxide.
  • The balanced equation is as follows:

2NaHCO_{3}Na_{2}CO_{3}+H_{2}O+CO_{2}
