2p+3q=13 ; 5p-4q=-2 by substitution method

Given,
2p+3q = 13
2p = 13-3q
p =(13-3q)/2 ......…..(i)
Substituting the value of p in 5p - 4q = -2
5((13-3q)/2)-4q = -2
(65 - 15q)/12 - 4q = -2
65 - 15q - 48q = -4
-63q = -69
q = 69/63
Then substitute the value of q in equation (I) and find the value of p
