2p + q = 23 , 4p - q = 19 . Hence find the value of p - 3q and 5p - 2q. ​

2p + q = 23 (eq 1)

4p - q = 19 (eq 2)

add eq 1 and eq 2

2p + q = 23

4p - q = 19

so we get,

6p = 42

p = 7

put p = 7 8n eq 1

2 (7) + q = 23

14 + q = 23

q = 9

so now put p = 7 , q = 9

p - 3q

7 - 3(9)

7 - 27

- 20

p - 3q = -20

5p - 2q

5(7) - 2(9)

35 - 18
