Solution:

$\Rightarrow 2^x = 3^2$

take a log on both side:

$\Rightarrow \log 2^x =\log 3^2 \\\\\Rightarrow x \log 2 = 2 \log 3 \\\\\Rightarrow x = \frac{2 \log 3}{\log 2}$

log 2 = 0.301

log 3= 0.477

$\Rightarrow x = \frac{2 \times 0.477}{0.301} \\\\\Rightarrow x = 2 \times 1.58 \\\\\Rightarrow x = 3.16$

The value of x = 3.16
