2x = 3+1/2
 2x = \frac{6  +  1}{2}
so,
2x = 7/2
x. = 7/2*2 (second "2" is also in over)
x = 7/4
fir verification take LHS of question......
that is......
2x - 1/2
put the above value of x here....
2*7/4 - 1/2
7/2-1/2
6/2
=3
and RHS is also 3
so LHS = RHS.....
hence verified.....
