 ({2x + 1})^{2}  -  ({x + 3})^{2}

 = 4 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 1 -  {x}^{2}  - 6x - 9

 = 3 {x}^{2}   - 2x - 8

It could have been a Quadratic equation if it had = 0.

Assuming it to be the Quadratic, we have

3 {x}^{2}  - 6x + 4x - 8 = 0

3x(x  - 2)  + 4(x - 2) = 0

(3x + 4)(x - 2) = 0

x = 2, -4/3
