(2x+1)
(2x + 1)^{2} + {x + 1}^{2} = 6x + 47 \\ {4x }^{2} + 4x + 1 + {x}^{2} + 2x + 1 = 6x + 47 \\ {5x}^{2} + 6x + 2 = 6x + 47 \\ {5x}^{2} + 6x - 6x = 47 - 2 \\ {5x}^{2} = 45 \\ {x}^{2} = 45 \div 5 \\ {x}^{2} = 9 \\ x = \sqrt{9} \\ x = 3 \\ hope \: this \: will \: help \: you
