2x-1=x^2 is linear equation in one variable are not? EXPLAIN!!! ​

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-1=x²

=2x-1-x²=0

so,for identifying linear equation the formula

is b²-4ac, if this equals a perfect square then

it is a linear equation.....

so, in this case we can consider 2x as a,

1 as b and x² as c....but we will take only

natural numbers and nothing else....

so, b²-4ac

= 1²-4×2×(-1)

=1-8×(-1)

=1+8

=9

so, here 9 is a perfect square, that means that equation is a linear equation.........
