Given :-

(2x - 1/x ) ^2 to solve.

Solution :-

Using Identity ---

( a - b) ^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2ab

⟹ a = 2x and

⟹ b = 1/x

Substituting the values,

⟹ ( 2x - 1/x ) ^2 =

(2x) ^2 + (1/x) ^2 - 2(2x)(1/x)

= 4x^2 + 1/x^2 - 4

= 4x^2 + x^ -2 - 4

Hope it helps !
