2x+14/3x+6=4, find the value of x

(2x+14)/(3x+6) = 4

cross multiply ,

=> 2x+14 = 4(3x+6)

=> 2x+14 = 12x+24

=> -24+14 = 12x-2x

=> -10 = 10x

=> -10/10 = x

=> -1 = x

You can easily solve it as
2x+14/(3x+6)=4
2x+14= 4(3x+6)
2x+14 = 12x +24
10x = -10
x = -1.
