(2x+14)/(3x+6) = 4
cross multiply ,
=> 2x+14 = 4(3x+6)
=> 2x+14 = 12x+24
=> -24+14 = 12x-2x
=> -10 = 10x
=> -10/10 = x
=> -1 = x
hope this helps

You can easily solve it as
2x+14/(3x+6)=4
2x+14= 4(3x+6)
2x+14 = 12x +24
10x = -10
x = -1.
2x+14/(3x+6)=4
2x+14= 4(3x+6)
2x+14 = 12x +24
10x = -10
x = -1.
