2 {x}^{2}  - 11 + 12 = 0 \\ 2 {x}^{2}  - 1 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  = 1 \div 2 \\ x =  +  - 1 \div  \sqrt{2}
Positive and negative 1 divided by root 2

gameking9000: thanks

The answer is given below :

 2{x}^{2}  - 11x + 12 = 0 \\  \\ or \:  \: 2 {x}^{2}  - 8x - 3x + 12 = 0 \\  \\ or \:  \: 2x(x - 4) - 3(x - 4) = 0 \\  \\ or \:  \: (x - 4)(2x - 3) = 0 \\  \\ therefore \:  \: the \:  \: roots \:  \: are \\  \\ x = 4 \:  \: and \:  \: x =  \frac{3}{2}
