BY MIDDLE TERM SPLITTING

→ 2x² - 2√2x +1 = 0

→ 2x² - √2x - √2x + 1 = 0

→ √2x(√2x - 1) - (√2x - 1) = 0

→ (√2x - 1)² = 0

→ √2x - 1 = 0

→ x = 1/√2

On rationalising

x = 2/2 _______________ (Ans.)

BY QUADRATIC FORMULA

→ x = [-b ± √(b² - 4ac) ]/2a

→ x = [2√2 ± √(8 - 4*2*1) ]/2*2

→ x = (2√2 ± 0)/4

→ x = 2√2/4

→ x = √2/2 ______________ (Ans.)
