=> 10x+9y = 195.............(1)

=> 9x+8y = 228............(2)

=> 9x = 228-8y

= x = (1/9)(228-8y)........(3)

substituting the value of x in (1)

=> (10/9)(228-8y) +9y = 195

=> 2280 - 80y+81y = 1755

=> y = 1755-2280. = -525

=> y = -525

substituting the value of y in eqn(1)

=> 10x+9×(-525) = 195

=> 10x = 195+4725 = 4920

=> x = 492

Therefore x = 492 and y = -525
