The problem: 2x+3=5
or, 2x=5-3 (subtracting 3 from both sides)
or, 2x=2 (after simplification)
or , \frac{2x}{2} = \frac{2}{2} (dividing both sides by 2)
or, x=1 (after simplification)
Ans:The value of x is 1.

2x +3=5
= 2x =5-3
=2x = 2
x =2/2
x = 1.
 By substituting the value of x in the above equation we get
 2(1) + 3 =5.
