ANSWER :

 \frac{2x}{3}  + 6 =  \frac{x}{5}  - 2 \\  \\\implies \frac{2x + 18}{3}  =  \frac{x - 10}{5}  \\  \\ \bf On \: cross \: multiplying :  \\  \\\implies 5(2x + 18) = 3(x - 10) \\  \\ \implies 10x + 90 = 3x - 30 \\  \\ \implies 10x - 3x =  - 30- 90 \\  \\\implies 7x =  - 120 \\  \\ \boxed{ \bf x =  \frac{ - 120}{7} }
