Step-by-step explanation:

2x-3/x-1 = 0

taking lcm

2x^2 -3 - x /x = 0

taking x to that side

so,

2x^2 - 3 -x =0

2x^2 - x -3 =0

2x^2 - 3x + 2x -3 =0

2x(x+1) -3 ( x+1) =0

( 2x-3) (x+1) =0

2x-3 =0, x+1 = 0

x =3/2 , x = -1

2x-3/x=1

by taking the lcm

2x^2-3-x/x=0

2x^2-x-3=0

2x^2+(2-3)x-3=0

2x^2+2x-3x-3=0

2x(x+1)-3(x+1)=0

taking x+1 as common

(2x-3)(x+1)=0

finding values of x

  • 2x-3=0

2x=3

x=3/2

  • x+1=0

x= -1
