(2x+3) (x-4) =6

2x²-8x+3x-12=6

2x²-5x-12-6=0

2x²-5x-18=0.

2x²-(9-4)x-18=0

2x²-9x+4x-18=0

x(2x-9)+2(2x-9)=0

(x+2)(2x-9)=0

:.x+2=0

x=-2

:.2x-9=0

or, 2x=9

x=9/2
