 √2x – √3y = 0…………(i)  

√3x − √8y = 0…………(ii)

From equation (i)

x = √(3/2)y ……………..(iii)

Substituting this value in equation (ii)

we obtain  √3x − √8y = 0

⇒ √3(√(3/2)y)  − √8y = 0  

⇒ (3/√2)y – √8y = 0  

⇒ 3y – 4y = 0  ⇒ y = 0

Now, substituting y in equation (iii) we obtain  ⇒ x = 0

 Thus, the value of x and y obtained are 0 and 0 respectively.
