QUESTION :

solve 2x+3y-1=0 and 3x-4y=4

ANSWER :

2x+3y-1=0 ..Eq 1

3x-4y=4

3x-4y-4 = 0 ..Eq 2

From, Eq 1

2x+3y-1=0

2x = 1 - 3y

x = (1 - 3y)/2

Substituting in Eq.2

3x-4y-4 = 3((1 - 3y)/2) -4y-4 = 0

= (3-9y-8y -4)/2 = 0

= (3-9y-8y -4) = 0

= -1-17y = 0

y = -1/17

Substituting in Eq.1

2x+3y-1= 2x+3(-1/17)-1= 0

= 34x/17-3/17-17/17 = 0

= (34x-20)/17 = 0

= (34x-20) = 0

= x = 20/34

x = 10/17

FINAL ANSWER : y = -1/17, x = 10/17
