Multiply by equation no.(1) and (2) by 4 and 3

8x-12y=4 ..............(3)

15x+12y=42 .........(4)

subtracting equation (3) by (4)

(8x-12y=4) - (15x+12y=42)

23x = 46

x=46÷23

x=2

put x=2 in equation no. (1)

2x-3y=1

2(2)-3y=1

4-3y=1

-3y=1-4

-3y=-3

3y=3

y=3÷3

y=1

The solution of given equation is (x,y)=(2,1)
