y =4 and x =1/2

2x+3y=13..... (i)

4x-y=-2......(ii)

here you can multiply the equation(i) with 4

and (ii) with 2

so ,

we get

8x+12y=52

8x-2y=-4

we get 14y=56

y =56/14

the value of (y) is 4

now we use the value of (y) in equation(i)

2x+3y= 13

2x+3(4) =13

2x+12=13

2x =13-12

2x=1

x=1/2
