Step-by-step explanation:

2 x - 3 y = 13. Equation 1

7 x - 2 Y = 20. Equation 2

The LCM of 7 and 2 is 14

Therefore multiply equation 1 with 7 and equation 2 with 2

14x -21y =91

14 x - 4y 40

Subtract both the sides with each other

(14 x - 21 y) -( 14 x - 4y)=(91-40)

-18y=51

-y=51/18

y = -3

2x - 3 (- 3) = 13

2x+9 =13

2x =13-9

x=4/2

x=2
