2x + 3y = 17 .... × 3

3x - 2y = 6 ..... × 2

_______________

=> 6x + 9y = 51 => Equation 1

=> 6x - 4y = 12 => Equation 2

Subtracting Equation 2 from Equation 1, we get,

+ 6x + 9y = 51

- 6x + 4y = - 12

____________

13 y = 39

=> y = 39 / 13 = 3

Hence y = 3

2x + 3y = 17

=> 2x + 3 ( 3 ) = 17

=> 2x + 9 = 17

=> 2x = 17 - 9

=> 2x = 8

=> x = 8 / 2 = 4

Hence x = 4 and y = 3.

Hope my answer helped !
