2x - 3y = 12 ---- (ii)

After elimination...

6y = 5

y = 5/6

Now putting value of y in eq i

2x + 3(5/6) = 17

: 2x + 5/2 = 17

: 4x + 5 = 34

: 4x = 29

: x = 29/4

Therefore, value of x = 29/4 & y = 5/6!
