2x- 3y/4=3 ---------(1)

5x-2y = 7---------(2)

multiply equation 1 by 4

8x- 3y= 12-------(3)

multiply equation (2) by 3 and (3) by 2

15x -6y=21---------(4)

16x -6y = 24---------(5)

subtracting equation 4 and 5

15x -6y= 21

16x- 6y.= 24

x= 3

putting x= 3 in equation (2)

5×3 - 2y = 7

-2y=7-15

y=8/2

y=4

Answer:

the given equation are

8x-3y=12 .....1

5x-2y=7 ......2

multiply (1) by 2 and by 3 on subtracting we get

16x-6y=24

15x-6y=21

- + -

x = 3

putting x=3 in (1) we get

8(3)-3y=12

24-3y=12

-3y=12-24

-3y=-12

y=-12/-3

y=4

hence x=3,y=4
