Let first make this...... 2x - 3y = 4

☞ 2x - 3y = 4

☞ x - 3y = 4 / 2

☞ x - 3y = 2

☞ x - y = 2 / 3

☞ x - y = 0.6 --------------------(i)

Now let see this...... 3x - y = 17

☞ 3x - y = 17

☞ x - y = 17 / 3

☞ x - y = 5.6 --------------------(ii)

Now, we have to divide both the equations....

☞ (ii) / (i)

☞ 5.6 / 0.6

☞ 9.3

So, The value of x - y = 9.3
