Solution:-

Given Equations:-

  • 2x - 3y = 4_______(1)
  • x + y = 5

x + y = 5

=) x = 5 - y _____________(2)

Substituting [ eq(2) ] in eq(1). we get,

=) 2x - 3y = 4

=) 2( 5 - y) - 3y = 4

=) 10 - 2y - 3y = 4

=) - 5y = 4-10

=) -5y = -6

=) y = 6/5

Substituting [ y = 6/5 ] in eq(2). we get,

=) x = 5 - y

=) x = 5 - 6/5

=) x = ( 25 - 6)/5

=) x = 19/5

Hence,

x = 19/5 and y = 6/5.
