Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 3y - 5 = 0

=> 6x + 9y - 15 = 0.........(1)

3x - 2y - 14 = 0

=> 6x - 4y - 28 = 0 .........(2)

Subtracting both equations,

6x + 9y - 15 - (6x - 4y - 28) = 0 - 0

=> 13y + 13 = 0

=> 13y = - 13

=> y = -1

Putting y = -1,

2x + (3 × -1) - 5 = 0

=> 2x - 3 = 5

=> 2x = 8

=> x = 4
