y=3-4x.........equation (2).

Substitute y=3-4x in equation (1).

2x-3y=5.

2x-3(3-4x)=5.

2x-9+12x=5.

2x+12x=5+9.

14x=14.

x=14/14.

x=1.

Substitute x=1 in equation (2).

y=3-4x.

y=3-4(1).

y=3-4.

y=-1.

x=1 & y=-1.
