Hi ,

Given 2x = 3y + 5

=> 3y + 5 = 2x

=> 3y = 2x - 5

=> y = ( 2x - 5 )/3

_________________________
x | y = ( 2x - 5 )/3 | ( x , y )
_________________________
0 | y = -5/3 | ( 0 , -5/3 )
_________________________
1 | y =(2-5)/3 =-3/3 = -1 | ( 1 , -1 )
_________________________
2 | y = ( 4 -5)/3 = -1/3 | ( 2 , -1/3 )
_________________________
4 | y = (8-5)/3 =3/3 = 1 | ( 4 , 1 )
_________________________
7 | y = (14 - 5)/3 = 9/3= 3 | ( 7 , 3 )
__________________________

Therefore ,

( 0 , -5/3 ), ( 1 , -1 ) , ( 2 , -1/3 ), ( 4,1 )

and ( 7 , 3 ) are five solutions of

the given equations.

I hope this helps you.
