now, substituting the value of equation (2) in equation (1) we get,

2x+3y=7

2x+3(1-3x)=7

2x+3-9x=7

-7x=4

putting the value of x in equation (2) we get

y=1-3x

y=1-3(-4/7)

y=7+12/7

y=19/7
