Hey!!
2x + 3y = 7-------(1)
6x + 9y = 23------(2)
From eq'n (1)
2x + 3y = 7
=> 2x = 7 - 3y
=> x = 7 - 3y / 2-----------(3)
Substitute eq'n (3) in eq'n (2)
6x + 9y = 23
=> 6( 7 - 3y / 2 ) + 9y = 23
=> 42 - 18y + 18y = 46
=> y = 46 - 42
=> y = 4
From eq'n (3)
x = 7 -3y / 2
=> x = 7 - 3 ( 4 ) / 2
=> x = 7 - 12 / 2
=> x = - 5 / 2
Therefore the value of x = - 5 / 2 and y = 4
