2x+3y=-7 eq.1

x+y=-2 eq.2

multiply eq.2 by 2

2x+2y=-4 eq.3

2x+3y=-7 eq.1

eq.3-eq.1

-y=3

y=-3

eq.1 implies

❤2x+3y=-7 and x+y=-2
1*2x+3y=-7. 2x+3y=-7-------------------------(1)
2*x+y=-2. 2x+2y=-4--------------------------(2)

2x+3y=-7
2x+2y=-4
(-) (-) (+)
--------------------
y= -3. put in equation (1) 2x+3y=-7

2x+3(y)=-7
2x+3(-3)=-7
2x-9=-7
2x=-7+9
2x=2
x=1
