  • 2x + 3y = 7 ...(1) equation
  • x - y = 8 ...(2) equation
  • now multiply eq(1) by 1 & eq(2)by × 2
  • 2x + 3y = 7
  • 2x - 2y = 16
  • now subtract eq 1 & 2 , we get
  • 2x - 2x + 3y - 2y = 7 - 8
  • y = -1
  • then sub y = -1 in eq 2 , we get
  • x - (-1) = 8
  • x + 1 = 8
  • x = 8-1 = 7

 \\ \\

  • Value of x is 7
  • Value of y is -1
