2x=8-3y

x=8-3y

substituting this value in eq 1 we get

4(8-3y) + 6y =7

32-12y + 6y = 7

move 2 to RHS

32 -12y + 6y = 14

12y - 6y = 32 -14

6y = 18

y=18

y = 3

putting value of y in eq 1 we get

2x + 3(3) = 8

2x+9=8

2x=-1

x= -1
