(2x+3y=8) mutiply by 2

4x-6y=9

4x+6y=16

4x-6y=9

By elimination

12y=7

y=7/12

2x+3(7/12)=8

2x+(7/4)=8

2x=8-(7/4)

2x=25/4

x=25/2

x=12.5
