Answer:

2x+3y=8_____i

x-2y=-3______ii

multiplying ii by 2 we get

2x-4y=-6______iii

subtracting i from iii we get

2x+3y=8

-(2x-4y=-6)

7y=14

y=2

putting the value of y in i we get

2x+3×2=8

2x+6=8

2x=2

x=1

x=1 and y=2
