 Given \: pair \: of \: equations :

 2x - 3y = 9 \: ---(1)

 and \:2x + y = 13 \: ---(2)

/* Subtract equation (1) from equation (2) ,we get */

 \implies 4y = 4

 \implies y = \frac{4}{4}

 \implies y = 1

/* Put y = 1 in equation (2), we get */

 2x + 1 = 13

 \implies 2x = 13 - 1

 \implies 2x = 12

 \implies x = \frac{12}{2}

 \implies x = 6

Therefore.,

 \green { x = 6 , y = 1 }

{\red{\boxed{Given}}}

\sf\dashrightarrow \: pair \: of \: equations :

 2x - 3y = 9 \: ---(1)

 \:2x + y = 13 \: ---(2)

\sf\therefore subtract\:eq\:2 \:by\:eq1,

 \implies 4y = 4

 \implies y = \frac{4}{4}

 \implies y = 1

now,

 2x + 1 = 13

 \implies 2x = 13 - 1

 \implies 2x = 12

 \implies x = \dfrac{12}{2}

 \implies x = 6

 x = 6 , y = 1
