  2x-3y=9
(-)2x+y  =13
=  -4y = -4
or y=1
2x+y=13
or 2x=13-1
or x=12/2=6
thus x = 6 and y = 1

{Hello}

Solution,

2x - 3y = 9..........(1)Equation

2x + y = 13..........(2) Equation

(2) can be written as

Y = 13 - 2x.......(3) Equation

Substituting (3) in (1),

2x - 3(13-2x) = 9

.'. 2x - 39 + 6x = 9

.'. 8x -39 =9

.'. 8x = 9+ 39

.'. 8x = 48

.'. X = 48

8

.'. X = 6

Substituting x = 6 in (3) equation ,

Y = 13 - 2x

.'. Y = 13 - 2 × 6

.'. y = 13 - 12

.'. Y = 1

(X,y) = (6,1) is the solution of the given simultaneous equations..

Thank you
